DAY 01-ITINERARY
Morning
Visit Angkor Thom, where the giant stone faces of Bayon have become one of the most recognizable images in classic Khmer art and architecture. There are 37 standing towers, most of which sport four carved faces oriented toward the cardinal points.
Next, visit the Baphuon temple, a three-tiered Temple Mountain built as the state temple of Udayadityavarman II and dedicated to the Hindu God Shiva.
Then, explore the Elephant Terrace, an impressive 300-meter long terrace wall adorned with carved elephants and garudas that spans the heart of Angkor Thom.
Continue to the Palace & Terrace of the Leper King, a double terrace wall with deeply carved nagas, demons, and other mythological beings. The terrace was named after the status of the ‘Leper King’ that sits on top.
Lastly, visit Preah Palilay, a picturesque sandstone and laterite tower located in a cool, shaded forest setting. The eastern gopura displays some particularly nice Buddhist-themed carvings.
Enjoy your lunch at a local restaurant in the Angkor area.
Afternoon
In the afternoon, head to Banteay Srei, which translates to ‘citadel of women’. This temple is known for its delicate beauty and displays some of the finest examples of classical Khmer art.
Continue to Banteay Samre, a large, flat temple that showcases Angkor Wat-style architecture and artistry. According to legend, the monument is named after a farmer who mistakenly killed the then ascended the throne.
If you choose, you can also enjoy the sunset at Phre Rub Temple. This temple-mountain is architecturally and artistically superior, with beautifully carved false doors on the upper level and an excellent view of the surrounding countryside.
After lunch, travel to the Victory Gate of Angkor Thom, passing through the parkland behind the Terrace of The Elephants. Walk past Phimeanakas and the Baphuon temple before ending your day at Bayon.

DAY 02-ITINERARY
Morning Tour at Angkor Wat
Start your day early with a morning tour at 4.30am to witness the breathtaking sunrise at Angkor Wat. As the sun rises behind the temple, it creates a stunning silhouette of Angkor’s distinctively shaped towers against the colorful morning sky. This is the perfect time to explore Angkor Wat, Cambodia’s ancient temple city and one of the wonders of the oriental world. The temple’s intricate decorative details and architectural style are masterpieces, serving as a testament to the remarkable achievements of Southeast Asia’s greatest civilization. According to Hindu mythology, Angkor Wat is a replica of the universe, with Mount Meru at its center, surrounded by continents and oceans. The temple’s extraordinary bas-reliefs depict Khmer epics and myths. The five famous towers of Angkor Wat rise into the sky, surrounded by numerous galleries adorned with stone images of celestial Apsara dancers. Explore the portals, chambers, and courtyards that make this temple a truly awe-inspiring experience.
Enjoy breakfast at a local restaurant near Angkor or return to your hotel for breakfast.
Afternoon Visit to Floating Village and Old Market
In the afternoon, visit the Floating Village of Kompong Pluk, located south of the Rolous temple group. Take a scenic and enjoyable boat ride to witness the daily routine of the fishermen and experience a truly unique dining experience at a floating restaurant in the village. Then, embark on a boat trip on the Tonle Sap Lake, one of the wonders of Southeast Asia. This great Cambodian lake offers breathtaking views and is a must-see attraction.
Afterwards, explore the Old Market, the most visited market in the area. Here, you will find a wide selection of souvenirs and curiosities. The market is known for its variety of offerings, including silks, silverworks, carvings, statuary, art, and handcrafts.
